We sometime reminisce about our childhoods that seemed so much wilder, less controlled, roam-free.
Lost in the endless array of summer days in the countryside. Playing with friends, picking mushrooms, riding bikes to nearby villages, annoying sisters and parents.
Inspiring love for and care of nature is at the heart of our family living mission.
I tell you straight that it does not happen every day! There are days when we don’t get a chance to get into the garden, busy with after-school activities, reading or other family shores.
Yet with each step we try to integrate the garden into our regular family routine.
We ask daddy to involve us fully in the process and he is having fun finding ways to do so.
Even though it sometimes feels like the garden is his own escape place, his “me-time”. And it’s important for all of us that he finds his space to simply be, away from the family distractions.
Without Geoff’s inspiration and learnings, we would not be where we are now. So the foundations on La Ramee refuge really lay with his love and passion for gardening.
And we hope this passion will filter through to our kids like in this picture where Anthony is busy watering some plants!
